BBQ culture is popular in Malaysia because they are
informal social affairs built around a variety of foods that individuals
can prepare the way they like.
And with Malaysians becoming more gastronomically adventurous, it is now common to have whole roast items like chicken, whole leg of lamb and even whole roast lamb ona spit - all the better for a varied BBQ experience.
Here at BBQ warongKoboi, our objective is to make your job easy when sourcing for bbq services by providing alternative bbq services which are different from the norm. Besides that, we have also included other useful resources such how to book bbq pits, chalets, and venues in Malaysia for barbecues. Have a blast !
How do you decide what is a good, average or best BBQ?
Well, for me it would be down to quality, variety, pricing and
convenience. Another factor that would affect what I consider a good BBQ is
group size.
If you have a group of say 60 - 70 guests, ordering a
whole roast lamb is a good idea not only because it is affordable but also
because it is a refreshing change from the usual bbq items on the market.
Considering that a 13-14kg lamb costs about RM1100, that would work out to be
about RM18-20 per guest for a group size of 60-70. The whole roast lamb comes
with a complimentary dish of garlic bread and a salad, plus you'll have
the convenience of a chef to do the cooking and carving . And after
you've eaten, there's no messy clean up whatsoever. This I think it's a
great deal. And if you want to beef up the spread, you could also order an
additional spread of cooked items, noodles, rice, desserts and drinks .
